Day Tanks
A day tank system maintains a readily available fuel supply for your generators. A low-level indicator float triggers the pump to automatically transfer fuel from an aboveground or basement storage tank into the generator day tank. The transfer stops when a high-level float is triggered.
Header Systems
A header system keeps all generators supplied with fuel in a system with multiple generators. A fuel header system delivers fuel through a pipe that runs the length of the generator room, helping you adhere to regulatory restrictions by minimizing the volume of fuel stored inside the room.
Aboveground Tanks
Aboveground tanks make it easy to detect and quickly contain leaks. They are less susceptible to corrosion and can be safely relocated if the FTS needs to be reconfigured due to new construction. ISP is proud to offer Highland aboveground steel storage tanks as an alternative to underground tank regulations. Available in single-wall, double-wall, and Fireguard® configurations for secure, responsible fuel storage, our selection of aboveground tanks provide us with the flexibility to design a strong and durable customized fuel system for any application.
Underground Tanks
When you want to protect your fuel tanks from weather damage or vandals or if aesthetics are a factor, an underground fuel storage tank may be the best option for your fuel transfer system. We offer both steel and fiberglass underground tanks for fuel storage. Xerxes corrosion-resistant, double-wall fiberglass underground storage tanks feature integrally constructed ribs that put them among the most robust underground tanks available to prevent fuel from leaking into the ground. We also design fuel transfer systems with Highland underground single- and double-wall steel storage tanks, which feature various corrosion protection systems. Underground tanks are typically outfitted with submersible pumps to facilitate fuel transfer to a day tank or generator belly tank.
